Mother nature is incredibly beautiful, but we keep on destroying her with our everyday actions, and by harming her we’re harming ourselves, since she’s the one we depend on and that sustains us.
Not all people, however, are insensitive to the damage we inflict on Nature. A great example of a person who truly cares about the well-being of the natural world is the Majuli islander Payeng, who for 40 years has been planting trees in order to save his island. Until now, he has single-handedly planted a forest of a bigger size than that of Central Park NYC.
What was for dozens of years a barren wasteland, is now a beautiful oasis, thanks to this kind-hearted man who decided to be the change that he wants to see in the world. Watch the video below to find out more about his incredible story.
