Manifesto for The Witches Queens and Goddesses Who Stand Alone

A manifesto that has yet to be written:

My head pounds,
my rage drowns out
the lingering of
hope or heaven.

And my sages were dead and gone,
left me standing
at a demon’s alter,
alone and lonely.

Even so I really did
search the caves and the rivers
for the light,
some sort of love
that could hold me,
keep me away
from the angry noise.

But no one came
and so I picked up my own bones
and went to my mirror
to whisper:
you are a goddess,
you are a witch,
you are a queen
with a manifesto
that has yet to be written.
