This. Is. Ridiculous. Is the establishment grasping like this because no one is getting a shot this year? Good grief.
Today, Tuesday, October 25th, was “Free Flu Shot Day” with Uber. That’s right, grab a ride (or not) and you can get a free shot that may or may not even work for this years RNA virus (RNA’s change constantly- hence the trouble figuring out what strain will work)!
All you had to do was choose the “Health” option in the Uber app between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to request a vaccine, then Uber would deliver a registered nurse to administer the shot, oh, and a flu-fighting care package.
UberHEALTH started two years ago and tried the pilot cities of Boston, New York, and Washington, D.C., first. Then last year they offered vaccines in more than 35 cities. The cost was $10 but up to 10 people could be vaccinated with each request- you know, like a party! This year the shots were totally free but you could only get up to five a trip (how is only 5 a party?) and the swag bag contained a water bottle, tissues, hand sanitizer, totebag, and lollipop. Good, cuz when you are trying to keep from getting sick, you want to eat sugar.
